Paddlin’ Spirit is a short documentary film about the controversial jamaican artist Laura Facey, whose work explores the indescribable cruelty of slavery but also the resilient nature of the human being. Loved and hated in equal parts in her country of origin due to the the explicitness of her work, Laura Facey stands out for denouncing womens abuse past, present and future and for healing from her own traumatic experiences.

Paddlin’ Spirit es un cortometraje documental sobre la controvertida artista jamaicana Laura Facey, cuya obra explora la crueldad de la esclavitud aunque también la naturaleza resiliente del ser humano. Amada y odiada a partes iguales en su país de origen por la explicitud de su obra, Laura Facey destaca también por su denuncia contra los abusos a la mujer y por cómo la artista ha superado a través del arte sus propias experiencias traumáticas.
