In 2005 we decided to make a diagnosis of the reality of some of the poorest populations in the world. We chose four countries, four forgotten conflicts, four families fighting for their survival. There we filmed the birth of four girls and portrayed their lives: Secret was born in Liberia, a country devastated by 14 years of civil war. Alaishri came to this world in the middle of a bloody tribal armed conflict in the state of Assam, in northern India. Noelia was born in an isolated community of indigenous peasants in the south of Bolivia. And Daniela, daughter of an illegal immigrant Congolese who gave birth on the floor in a flat on the outskirts of Stockholm, Sweden, for fear of going to a hospital.

En el año 2005 decidimos hacer un diagnóstico de la realidad de algunas de las poblaciones más desfavorecidas del mundo. Para entender cómo el lugar donde se nace marca la vida, elegimos cuatro países, cuatro contextos olvidados, cuatro familias que luchaban por su supervivencia. Allí vimos nacer a cuatro niñas y retratamos sus vidas, sus familias, su país. Secret nació en una Liberia devastada por 14 años de guerra civil. Alaishri lo hizo en una cruenta lucha tribal en el estado de Assam, al norte de la India. Noelia, en el seno de una comunidad de indígenas campesinos en el olvidado sur de Bolivia. Y Daniela, hija de una inmigrante ilegal congoleña que parió en el suelo de una apartamento del extrarradio de Estocolmo, Suecia, por miedo a ir a un hospital.
